JOB TITLE: Magazine Designer SALARY: to 28k + bens
THE COMPANY Our client specialise in providing corporate communication services to blue-chip clients, including online, film, print and training. As part of ongoing expansion they require an additional senior magazine designer from a contract publishing background to join the team.
THE ROLE You will take responsibility for designing magazines, newsletters, and corporate literature for blue-chip clients. Attending client meetings, you will take design briefs and propose original design ideas. The role will include generating boarded-up work & mock-ups for client presentation, sourcing imagery, working with freelancers and client representatives, and producing print-ready PDFs.
THE CANDIDATE To be suitable for this role you must have very strong Mac based InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator skills. You must come from a B2B publishing background, ideally a contract publishing house, and have been responsible for a number of B2B publications - candidates who have only worked on one or two publications, or likewise have worked on consumer publications will not be considered. You have probably worked for a business services design company. You need to come from a stable employment background, demonstrating loyalty and career progression for the same company of a long period of time. Yes, these are strict requirements, but it is what our client needs!
